People that benefit our services
We assist undergraduate students from different disciplines: Health sciences (Medicine, Bio-medical, Pharmacy, dentistry), Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Metallurgical, Mechanical, Civil, Urbanism), Science (Physics, chemistry, Mathematics, Computer science, Actuary science, Financial maths). Our oriented private tuition benefits:
Undergraduate students who are at the entry level (first year students from universities and technikons) and may have difficulties to adapt to the pace of the tertiary teaching system
Coming from high schools, most of students face the university new teaching system where some lecturers can complete 2 or 3 chapters in one week. Student needs first to adapt and understand the taught topics in a very short time, which is not always easy and at the same time he/she needs to work on tutorials. In addition, he/she has to prepare for upcoming tests.
All these aspects are taken into account when we privately tutor our students.
Undergraduate students (first year) who struggle to understand taught subjects as a result of a lack of pedagogical care from his/her lecturer.
Some students fail not because they are not intelligent or not working hard, but just because the teaching approach used by a particular lecturer of the course does not attract students attention and does not allow them to grab the essentials of the course.
At the MTPTC, we know how to motivate students to love what is taught and also to make science easier even for those coming from a disadvantageous learning background.
Undergraduate students who missed studying a particular subject (e.g. mathematics, physics, etc) for years, but has to start studying it again.
It may happen that a student obtained his/her matric in 2006 and obtained a C symbol in Physics, and after not studying for two years has to restart University studies in 2009. This student may face difficulties to readapt easily in Physics.
With our skilled tutors, we know at the MTPTC how to help students to catch up and do better.
Undergraduate students taking courses by correspondence
A student attending a group study on Saturdays may for some reason, not be able to attend the class. Or it may also happen that the student does not at all understand the topic as taught in a particular class, and wants to get more understanding for the subject.
For such cases, specialized and experienced tutors will be able to assist and get such a student well prepared for exams.
Workers studying on part-time basis and need assistance in Science and mathematics
A grade 12 student (exceptionally the MTPTC can assist students preparing their matric exams)
College students who are desperate and cannot cope with taught science topics
People from French/Portuguese speaking countries who like to improve their English skills for academic or business purposes.
